CPA - performance information

Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) is a Performance Review process for Council's undertaken by the Audit Commission.

Part of the assessment involves Councils' reviewing their own performance and identifying weaknesses and issues where improved performance is required.

Using an evidence based approach, the Audit Commission then review both the Council's own self assessment and determine a rating of how well a Council is performing from various perspectives and measures how well councils are delivering services for local people and communities.

The City of Durham's first assessment was conducted in November 2003.
