Housing repairs - emergency out of hours repairs

If the problem threatens your health, safety or security, the repair may count as an 'emergency'. If so please contact us by phone during normal office hours. Outside these times including weekends and bank holidays you can phone the 24 hour emergency number 0191 301 8575. The person taking the call will ask a few questions to make sure the repair is needed urgently. They will then pass the work to a contractor who will complete the relevant work. Where this is not possible, a temporary repair will be carried out to make the fault safe and follow up work will be arranged.

PLEASE DO NOT ABUSE THIS ESSENTIAL SERVICE WHICH IS FOR GENUINE EMERGENCIES ONLY. IF YOU DO ABUSE THE SERVICE A CALL OUT CHARGE MAY BE LEVIED. YOU MAY ALSO DELAY OUR RESPONSE TO A GENUINE EMERGENCY AND PLACE OTHER PEOPLE AT RISK.
