Statement of Accounts
The Statement of Accounts sets out the financial position of the Authority at the end of the financial year. It incorporates a summary of the money spent during the year on the services that the Council provides (consolidated revenue account), details of the Council's assets, investments and reserves (consolidated balance sheet) with supporting explanatory notes.

Summary of Accounts
The City of Durham has produced the 3rd issue of "Money Matters" (which is a Summary of Accounts for the financial year 2007-2008) after researching best practice and consulting with a cross-section of our stakeholders. "Money Matters" aims to give readers an easy to read snapshot of the City of Durham's finances at 31st March 2008.

Annual Governance Report - Audit Commission
In accordance with the Audit Commision's Code of Audit Practice, the Annual Governance Report provides a summary of work carried out by the Audit Commission during the audit of accounts. The report details conclusions reached and recommendations.

Annual Audit and Inspection Plan - Audit Commission
This Plan has been developed jointly by the Relationship Manager and District Auditor. It sets out the audit and inspection work that the Audit Commission propose to undertake for the financial year. The plan is based on the Audit Commission's risk-based approach to audit planning and the requirements of Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA).
