Natalie comes back to Durham for lights switch on

Natalie Anderson makes a return trip to the City and hopes to entertain the huge crowds at this year’s Christmas light switch-on.
Natalie, better know as nurse Stella Davenport on ITV's The Royal, is making a return visit to the City after as brief visit earlier this year."I really love coming back to Durham. I was up at Belmont and Framwellgate schools earlier this year and I hope to see them again this Sunday."
Natalie has been a regular to Durham for a while now: "I was often in Durham with friends, in North Road and the pubs and clubs around. I am looking forward to seeing some familiar places. My dad will be making the short trip from Hartlepool to see me and bring a few family friends with him."
She will be signing her latest single, 'Did I' at HMV during the day before performing the single on stage at around 5.00pm. "If I have enough time I would love to get people in the mood for Christmas by singing a couple of Christmas song as well as my single."
The lights switch on by Coronation Street stars Simon Gregson and Katherine Kelly, better known as Steve and Becky, at around 5.30pm is the climax of hours of entertainment and the official return to the region of Santa Claus.
The staged events start at 1.30pm with Durham Fm roadshow introducing the Bearpark and Esk Brass Band to get us all in the mood with carols and other favourites being played. This is just the warm up for the youngsters as at around 2.20pm Santa will arrive accompanied by one of Durham's Favourite entertainers Pee Wee Price.
High School Holiday, a group of youngsters, will sing and dance before Pee Wee comes back to help Durham FM with a stage performance of "Play Your Cards Right" where there will be a great prize on offer to the winner.
Steve and Becky will make a quick appearance before another session from High School Holiday and then the former "The Royal" nurse Natalie Anderson comes on stage to perform her debut single.
As the switch on time comes near, the Mayor of Durham, Clllr Grenville Holland, will take to the stage and present the Duck Race winners with their prize and then will welcome back Steve and Becky just before the big moment.
