Experience a taste of Durham’s democratic history
Monday 2 June 2008
Over the next two weeks, members of the public are invited to take a FREE tour of the newly refurbished Town Hall with local guide David Butler. All those taking part will then have an opportunity to give their feedback which will help plan future tours.
"It's really important that we get the views of people, and find out what they are interested in, so that we can make sure our tour programme is both informative and entertaining" said Martin Boulton, tourism manager
Now fully accessible, the Town Hall tour covers the Burlison Art Gallery, Mayors Chamber, Medieval Guildhall, Small Hall and Crush Hall and will last approximately 1 hour.
Tour dates are as follows:
Thursday 5th June 2pm
Friday 6th June 10.30am
Monday 9th June 2pm
Wednesday 11th June 10.30am
